  • The Tróia target has been tested with 72 Trado® auger holes (results received for 53), totaling 206 metres (“m”) and 7 trenches, totaling 400 m;
  • Target ultramafic rocks (“UM”) encountered in 19 Trado® holes (62 m of the 206 m augered) and all 7 trenches, over geological trend of approximately 1 kilometre (“km”) in strike length;
  • Multiple PGE-mineralized Trado® auger holes, including:
    • 8.5 m grading 0.98 grams per tonne palladium + platinum + gold (“g/t 2PGE+Au”) from surface, including 4.0 m grading 1.44 g/t 2PGE+Au from 4.0 m depth
    • 2.0 m grading 8.58 g/t 2PGE+Au from surface, including 1.0 m grading 15.93 g/t 2PGE+Au from surface
    • 4.0 m grading 1.55 g/t 2PGE+Au from surface
    • 3.8 m grading 1.64 g/t 2PGE+Au from surface;
  • Sampling and geological mapping of all 7 trenches are in progress.

Tróia 2022 Exploration Program

ValOre conducted detailed geological mapping and prospecting along the 1-km-long anomalous trend at Tróia, a target located 4.5 km north-northeast Massapê (129,000 oz 2PGE+Au grading 1.21 g/t in 3.31 Mt) and 8 km north of Trapia (885,000 oz 2PGE+Au grading 0.96 g/t in 27.8 Mt). The main Tróia zones were subsequently followed up with 72 Trado® auger holes totaling 206 m, with UMs encountered in 19 Trado® holes. Assays are pending for 19 of 72 holes. See Table 1 below for a summary of significant Trado® assay results.

PGE assays previously reported from Trado® auger drilling and rock sampling, including 23.01 g/t 2PGE+Au and 12.00 g/t 2PGE+Au (CLICK HERE for news release dated April 25, 2022), warranted follow-up trenching along 600 m of geological trend to confirm the presence of in-situ PGE mineralization. Seven trenches were excavated (400 m total length), with all exposing UM and UM-derived rock continuity along strike, with significant thickness chromitite-rich UMs in the central two trenches (TR22TR01 and TR22TR02 – see below for detailed plan map of the Tróia target priority area of interest, Figure 1). Trench sampling and mapping are in progress. See Figure 2 for photographs of the Tróia trenching program.

Vancouver, B.C. ValOre Metals Corp. (“ValOre”; TSXV: VO; OTC: KVLQF; Frankfurt: KEQ0, “the Company”) today announced soil geochemistry and Trado® auger assay results from the Galante East target area at ValOre’s 100%-owned Pedra Branca Platinum Group Elements (“PGE”, “2PGE+Au”) Project (“Pedra Branca”) in northeastern Brazil.

“Galante East represents the longest and most prospective undrilled trend at Pedra Branca, as evidenced by the 3-km-long cumulative palladium-platinum soil anomaly, and multiple high-grade Trado® auger holes from ValOre’s first phase of exploration,” stated ValOre’s VP of Exploration, Colin Smith. “Immediate follow-up work has commenced, including infill soil sampling, additional Trado® auger drilling, and trenching.”

Galante East Target Exploration Program Highlights:

  • Three-kilometre-long (“km”) cumulative palladium-platinum soil anomaly with no historical or ValOre drill holes;
  • Multiple PGE-mineralized Trado® auger holes, including:
    • 5.0 metres (”m”) grading 1.48 grams per tonne palladium + platinum + gold (“g/t 2PGE+Au”) from surface
    • 2.0 m grading 2.95 g/t 2PGE+Au from surface
    • 3.8 m grading 1.18 g/t 2PGE+Au from surface
    • 5.5 m grading 0.80 g/t 2PGE+Au from surface
    • 6.0 m grading 0.53 g/t 2PGE+Au from surface;
  • Exploration totals from the first phase at Galante East:
    • 981 soil samples collected and assayed (20 km of soil lines)
    • 92 Trado® auger holes (255 m) with 275 samples assayed;
  • Follow-up exploration has commenced along the 3-km-long anomalous trend, including:
    • Infill soil lines, interstitial to the 200-m-spaced ValOre lines
    • Follow-up Trado® auger drilling
    • Trenching.

Galante East 2022 Exploration Program

The Galante East target is 3-km-long prospective geological corridor located 7 km south-southwest of Santo Amaro (153,000 oz 2PGE+Au grading 1.11 g/t in 4.3 Mt), and 10 km north-northeast of Curiu (150,000 oz 2PGE+Au grading 2.20 g/t in 2.1 Mt). Historical work at Galante East includes localized soil and rock sampling, geological mapping, and ground magnetics. A strong PGE deposit signature is evident throughout the compiled data.

ValOre initiated exploration at Galante East with a regional geological mapping and prospecting program, which corroborated and refined the historically mapped target ultramafic (“UM”) intrusions and supported the completion of a regional soil sampling and Trado® auger campaign. The soil survey covered a geological trend of 3.75 km, on 200-m-spaced lines, with a total of 981 samples collected. In addition, 92 Trado® auger holes (255 m) were drilled, targeting UM occurrences associated with the historical soil anomalies.

Soil assays defined palladium-platinum anomalies of approximately 3 km in cumulative length which is further supported by 19 mineralized Trado® auger holes. Three high-priority zones were defined within the undrilled 3-km-trend for immediate follow up soil sampling, augering and trenching and have the potential to further delineate drill targets. See Figure 1 below for a plan map of Galante East, and Table 1 for a summary of Trado® auger assay highlights.

The two southern zones extend along a geological trend of over 600 metres each (1.2 km total), with high-grade historical rock assays of up to 18.8 g/t 2PGE+Au, PGE-in-soils up to 900 ppb 2PGE+Au and high-grade Trado® holes, including the two highest-grade auger holes reported in this release:

  • Trado® auger hole AD22GE35: 5 m grading 1.48 g/t 2PGE+Au from surface;
  • Trado® auger hole AD22GE02: 2 m grading 2.95 g/t 2PGE+Au from surface.

Follow-up Trado® augering and trenching has commenced at the southern anomalies to further delineate the extent of near-surface PGE mineralization. The continuity of mineralization at depth is to be tested with the core and/or RC drill. Trado® end of hole depths typically represent that the auger has entered impenetrable unweathered to less weathered bedrock, so it is common that mineralization and UMs remain fully open at depth and require follow-up drilling.

The northern soil anomaly extends over a trend of 1.8 km, with continuous palladium and platinum mineralization returned in soils and Trado® holes. Follow-up soil sampling has commenced, with two additional soil lines infilling the 200-m-spaced lines from the regional survey.

Vancouver, B.C. ValOre Metals Corp. (“ValOre”; TSXV: VO; OTC: KVLQF; Frankfurt: KEQ0, “the Company”) today announced high-grade rock assay results from the Tróia target area (“Tróia”) at ValOre’s 100%-owned Pedra Branca Platinum Group Elements (“PGE”, “2PGE+Au”) Project (“Pedra Branca”) in northeastern Brazil.

“The Tróia target has excellent exploration upside, as evidenced by the high-grade palladium-platinum values from the initial outcrop and grab sample assay results released today,” stated ValOre’s VP of Exploration, Colin Smith. “The 1-kilometre-long trend is fully open along strike to in both directions and remains largely untested at depth. Detailed mapping, Trado® drilling and trenching will further delineate this broad, high-grade, shallow intrusion, with the intention of advancing Tróia into a high priority drill target.”

Tróia Target Exploration Program Highlights:

  • Multiple high-grade PGE assay results from outcropping chromitites and mineralized ultramafic (“UM”) samples, including:
    • 23.01 grams per tonne palladium + platinum + gold (“g/t 2PGE+Au”) – SAMPLE 103089
    • 12.00 g/t 2PGE+Au – SAMPLE 103111
    • 8.32 g/t 2PGE+Au – SAMPLE 103091
    • 8.15 g/t 2PGE+Au – SAMPLE 103093
    • 7.98 g/t 2PGE+Au – SAMPLE 103094
    • 3.35 g/t 2PGE+Au – SAMPLE 103095
  • Mineralization occurs within a 50- to 100-metre-wide zone, along 1 kilometre (“km”) of geological trend, associated with compelling historical geochemical and geophysical anomalies;
  • Trado® auger drilling is on-going at Tróia, with 46 auger holes (133 m) completed to date, with UMs encountered in 10 holes (assays pending);
  • Follow-up trenching will commence upon receipt and review of the Trado® auger assays.

Tróia 2022 Exploration Program

ValOre conducted detailed geological mapping and prospecting along the 1-km-long anomalous trend at Tróia, a target located 4 km west of Cedro (453,000 oz 2PGE+Au grading 1.03 g/t in 13.6 Mt) and 6 km west of Esbarro, (403,000 oz 2PGE+Au grading 1.16 g/t in 10.8 Mt). The main Tróia zones were subsequently followed up with 46 Trado® auger holes to date totaling 133 m (on-going), with UM encountered in 10 Trado® holes (assays pending).

One shallow (49.8 m) historical diamond drill hole is present in the northern Tróia zone, with no PGEs reported; however, relogging of the historical core, combined with new field data, suggests that this hole was shut down at the top contact of the target UM intrusion, and therefore, excellent potential for mineralized continuity remains at depth.

A total of 13 outcrop and grab samples were collected and submitted for assay during the detailed prospecting and mapping campaign. An average grade of 5.02 g/t 2PGE+Au was returned, with 11 of 13 samples (85%) reporting PGEs, and 4 samples assays exceeding 8.00 g/t 2PGE+Au (high of 23.01 g/t 2PGE+Au, #103089). See Figure 1 below for a plan map of Tróia, Figure 2 for photographs of the high-grade outcrop and rock samples, and Table 1 for a table of rock sample assays reported herein.

Vancouver, B.C. ValOre Metals Corp. (“ValOre”; TSXV: VO; OTC: KVLQF; Frankfurt: KEQ0, “the Company”) today announced initial trench channel sample assay results from the Ipueiras target area (“Ipueiras”) at ValOre’s 100%-owned Pedra Branca Platinum Group Elements (“PGE”, “2PGE+Au”) Project (“Pedra Branca”) in northeastern Brazil. Ipueiras is located 10 kilometres (“km”) south of the Trapia deposit area, (885,000 oz 2PGE+Au grading 0.96 g/t in 28.8 Mt). ValOre has tested the target with 35 Trado® auger holes and 4 trenches to date in 2022, following a detailed geological mapping and prospecting program.

“The Trado® auger continues to guide ValOre geologists to significant discoveries property-wide, as demonstrated by the broad, high grade trench intervals from Ipueiras,” stated ValOre’s VP of Exploration, Colin Smith. “Excellent exploration upside remains with several >40 g/t 2PGE+Au rock samples occurring to the southwest of the trenched zone along a strong and consistent magnetic anomaly, defining a 2-kilometre-long undrilled mineralized trend.”

Ipueiras Trenching Highlights:

  • Two of four trenches returned significant intervals of PGE mineralization, including:
    • 64 metres (“m”) grading 2.68 grams per tonne palladium + platinum + gold (“g/t 2PGE+Au”), including 25 m grading 4.65 g/t 2PGE+Au in trench TR22IP01;
    • 38 m grading 2.14 g/t 2PGE+Au, including 15 m grading 4.45 g/t 2PGE+Au in trench TR22IP02;
  • Detailed follow-up mapping, Trado® and trenching has commenced to further delineate this broad, high-grade, shallow ultramafic (“UM”) intrusion.

Ipueiras 2022 Trado® Auger Drilling and Trenching Program

ValOre conducted detailed geological mapping and prospecting throughout the 2-km-long anomalous trend at Ipueiras, and followed up with 35 Trado® auger holes (105 m), with reported PGE mineralization in 11 of 35 holes. CLICK HERE for news release dated March 31, 2022 and see Figure 1 below for a plan map of Ipueiras. Highlights of historic and ValOre high-grade rock samples collected throughout the area include grades over 40 g/t 2PGE+Au at the Southwest and Northeast Zones.

Figure 1

Figure 1: Ipueiras target ground mag anomaly extending for approximately 2 km along strike from southwest to northeast. High-grade rock and Trado® auger assays highlighted in the two main Zones (Southwest and Northeast Zones).

Five shallow pre-ValOre diamond drill holes tested a portion of the northeast zone of Ipueiras, with PGE mineralization reported in 2 holes. Revised interpretations, based on new data from ValOre’s ongoing exploration program, demonstrate excellent potential for mineralization continuity at depth and along strike.

PGE-mineralized Trado® auger results defined an area of focus within the Northeast Zone for priority follow up work, and was subsequently tested for in-situ PGE mineralization by excavation of 4 trenches totaling 189 m, covering a strike length of approximately 200 m. All 4 trenches confirmed UM and UM-derived rocks continuity along strike, with PGE mineralization reported in 3 of 4 trenches. Assays remain pending for trench TR22IP04.

Assay highlights include multiple high-grade PGE results from the two northernmost trenches associated with thick chromitites and chromitite-rich UMs, including:

  • TR22IP01: 64 m grading 2.68 g/t 2PGE+Au, including 25 m grading 4.65 g/t 2PGE+Au;
  • TR22IP02: 38 m grading 2.14 g/t 2PGE+Au, including 15 m grading 4.45 g/t 2PGE+Au;
  • TR22IP03*: 2.0 m grading 0.37 g/t 2PGE+Au (* assays pending for final 5.0 m).

See Figure 2 below for a plan map with trench locations at the Northeaster Zone at Ipueiras; Figure 3 for pictures of the Ipueiras trenches, with detailed photographs highlighting chromitite occurring in the area; and Figures 4A and 4B for detailed trench cross sections. Reported trench assay interval lengths are channel samples and estimated to represent 70-80% true width.

High-grade PGE assays from historical and ValOre samples, in addition to Trado® auger holes drilled by ValOre at the Southwest Zone of the Ipueiras trend are interpreted to be correlative with the high-grade UMs and chromitite reefs exposed in trenches TR22IP01 and TR22IP02, extending known PGE mineralization and exploration upside for an additional 2 km to the southwest of the existing historical core drilling and trench area.

Detailed follow-up mapping, Trado® and trenching has commenced to further delineate this broad anomalous trend.

Ipueiras and Galante East Target 2022 Exploration: Trenching, Trado® Auger Drilling, Rock and Soil Sampling

Compilation and review of historical data from Ipueiras and Galante East targets revealed considerable geochemical, geophysical, and geological similarities to the PGE deposits which comprise ValOre’s current NI 43-101 inferred resource, and consequently these targets were designated as high priority. The application of ValOre’s proven and effective systematic exploration methodology is being deployed and will serve to rapidly advance Ipueiras and Galante East to drill-ready stage (CLICK HERE for news release dated July 12, 2021).

Ipueiras

The Ipueiras target area is characterized by strong historical PGE-in-soil anomalies, high-grade historical and ValOre surface grab samples (including several samples >10 g/t 2PGE+Au over 2.5 km of geological trend), a compelling >2-km-long magnetic anomaly, and PGE mineralization in 2 of 6 historical core drill holes.

ValOre conducted detailed geological mapping and prospecting of the 2.5 km-long trend and followed-up with 35 Trado® auger holes (105 m total, equating to 111 samples). At-surface, PGE-bearing UM or UM-derived rocks were intercepted in 11 of 35 Trado® holes, confirming the presence of in-situ surface PGE mineralization along a geological trend of approximately 2.5 km. See below for a plan map of the Ipueiras target (Figures 1a and 1b).

Trado® auger assay highlights include holes AD22IP04, which returned 8 m at 1.13 g/t 2PGE+Au from surface, including 1 m at 5.48 g/t 2PGE+Au from surface, and hole AD22IP05 which returned 8 m at 1.29 g/t 2PGE+Au including 1 m at 4.22 g/t 2PGE+Au from 7 m depth. End-of-hole depths typically represent the onset of impenetrable unweathered to less weathered bedrock, indicating that mineralization and UMs remain fully open at depth and require follow-up core or Reverse Circulation (“RC”) drilling. See Table 1 below for a summary of significant Trado® assay results.

Based on the main PGE assays reported from Trado® auger drilling, follow up trenching was defined to a priority area spanning 300 m along geological trend, to confirm the presence of in-situ PGE mineralization. Total of 4 trenches were excavated (189 m total) with trenches confirming UM and UM-derived rocks continuity along strike, with significant thickness of chromitites and chromitite-rich UMs in the northernmost two trenches (TR22IP01 and TR22IP02 – see below for detailed plan map of the Ipueiras target priority area of interest, Figures 1a and 1b). Trench assays are pending.

Galante East

Galante East is an undrilled pipeline target located approximately 5 km south of Santo Amaro area. The target is characterized by several chromite-bearing ultramafic occurrences over a geological trend of approximately 3 km, deposit-signature historical PGE-in-soil anomaly, and multiple grab samples >1.0 g/t 2PGE+Au (high of 18.8 g/t 2PGE+Au).

Galante East exploration was initiated with a 2022 soil sampling campaign of more than 1,000 samples collected along 20 km of soil lines covering the 3 km prospective geological trend. A subsequent Trado® auger program, currently in progress, accounts for 86 Trado® auger holes (243 m) drilled to date. Target UMs were encountered in 32 Trado® holes (95 of the 243 m augered). Both the soils and Trado® assays are pending.

Upon receipt and review of Trado® and soils assay data, priority areas at Galante East will be evaluated by trenching (channel sampling) and/or RC drilling to confirm the presence of in-situ PGE mineralization along trend and at depth. See below for a plan map of the Galante East target (Figure 3).

Soil Survey

Vancouver, B.C. ValOre Metals Corp. (“ValOre”; TSXV: VO; OTC: KVLQF; Frankfurt: KEQ0, “the Company”) today reported an updated independent National Instrument 43-101 (“NI 43-101”) inferred mineral resource estimate for ValOre’s 100%-owned Pedra Branca Platinum Group Elements (“PGE”, “2PGE+Au”) Project (“Pedra Branca”) in northeastern Brazil.

ValOre’s CEO, Jim Paterson stated, “We are very pleased to announce the doubling of ValOre’s Pedra Branca inferred mineral resource estimate, which was expanded to 2.2 million ounces of palladium, platinum, and gold at 1.08 g/t 2PGE+Au. Several of the zones which form part of the resource estimate remain wide open for expansion in future drill programs.

ValOre’s technical team has demonstrated their ability to expand known resource zones and to convert exploration targets into resource ounces in a very cost effective manner. We spent $6.1M CAD on exploration, administration and development at Pedra Branca since the 2019 acquisition and resource estimate, which equates to under CAD$6 per ounce of 2PGE+Au added to the resource inventory.

With the initial metallurgical results recently reported, today’s announcement on the resource expansion, and a discovery pipeline of exploration targets laid out property-wide, we very excited about the future potential of ValOre’s Pedra Branca Project.”

Highlights of the 2022 NI 43-101 Pedra Branca Inferred Mineral Resource Estimate:

  • 2,198 thousand ounces (“Koz”) palladium + platinum + gold (“2PGE+Au”) in 63.6 million tonnes (“Mt”) grading 1.08 g/t 2PGE+Au;
  • 106% increase to 2019 inferred mineral resource;
  • $6.1M CAD spent on exploration and development since 2019 resource, equating to $5.40 per ounce 2PGE+Au added;

2022 Inferred Mineral Resource Estimate

The updated Pedra Branca mineral resource estimate was completed by independent Brazilian consultancy GE21 Consultoria Mineral (“GE21”), in accordance with Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (“CIM”) Definition Standards incorporated, by reference, in NI 43-101 Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects, and has been reviewed internally by ValOre. The 2022 resource estimate is the result of over 17,000 metres of new drilling between July 2020 and December 2021 and comprises 7 distinct deposit areas which host, in aggregate, an inferred resource of 2,198 Koz 2PGE+Au in 63.6 Mt grading 1.08 g/t 2PGE+Au (see Table 1 below). Mineralization outcrops at surface in all zones, and all the inferred resources are potentially open pittable.

The Pedra Branca inferred resource estimate has doubled in its palladium, platinum, and gold endowment since the 2019 NI 43-101 technical report (CLICK HERE ValOre news release dated July 23, 2019, for a summary of the 2019 inferred mineral resource estimate). Compelling growth potential remains at multiple deposit areas, including Massapê, Santo Amaro, Trapia, and Cedro.

The inferred mineral resource estimate for the Trapia deposit increased by a factor of over 4 times, and now represents the largest contributor to the global resource at 885 Koz 2PGE+Au grading 0.96 g/t in 28.8 Mt). The Cedro deposit inferred mineral resource estimate also tripled in size to 453 Koz 2PGE+Au grading 1.03 g/t in 13.6 Mt. Both the Trapia and Cedro deposits were the subject of 2020-2021 resource expansion drilling.

Massapê and Cana Brava represent two new zones added to the 2022 resource, accounting for 154 Koz ounces 2PGE+Au in 4.0 Mt at grades of 1.21 and 1.18 g/t 2PGE+Au, respectively. Massapê remains wide open along in all directions. CLICK HERE for news release dated December 20, 2021, for a summary of 2021 drilling at Massapê.

  1. The Mineral Resource estimates were prepared in accordance with the CIM Standards, and the CIM Guidelines, using geostatistical, plus economic and mining parameters appropriate to the deposit.
  2. All figures have been rounded to the relative accuracy of the estimates. Summed amounts may not add due to rounding.
  3. Mineral Resources are reported with effective date March 08, 2022.
  4. Mineral Resources were classified as Inferred. An Inferred Mineral Resource has a lower level of confidence than that applying to an Indicated Mineral Resource and must not be converted to a Mineral Reserve. It is reasonably expected that most of the Inferred Mineral Resources could be upgraded to Indicated Mineral Resources with continued exploration.
  5. Mineral Resources, which are not mineral reserves, do not have demonstrated economic viability. The Mineral Resources may be materially affected by environmental, permitting, legal, marketing, and other relevant issues.
  6. Mineral Resources are based upon a cut-off grade of 0.4 g/t PGE+Au, correlated to Pd_eq grade of 0.35 g/t.
  7. Mineral Resources were limited by an economic pit built in Geovia Whittle 4.3 software and following the geometric and economic parameters:
    • Pit slope angles: 55°;
    • Price: Pd=US$2000/oz, Pt=US$1000/oz and Au=US$1800/oz;
    • Costs: Mining costs=US$2.00/t; Milling=US$12.00/t; G&A=US$1.50/t.
    • Metallurgical Recoveries:
      • Weathered rock: 68% for Pd, 67% for Pt and 40% for Au;
      • Fresh rock: 71% for Pd, 82.9% for Pt and 85.2% for Au.
  8. Blocks estimated by Ordinary Kriging at support of:
    • Trapia, Massapê, Esbarro: 40m x 40m x 4m with sub-block 5m x 5m x 2m;
    • Santo Amaro, Cedro, Cana Brava: 20m x20m x 4m with sub-block 5m x 5m x 2m;
    • Curiu: 10m x 10m x 4m with sub-block 5m x 5m x 2m.

Vancouver, B.C. ValOre Metals Corp. (“ValOre”; TSXV: VO; OTC: KVLQF; Frankfurt: KEQ0, “the Company”) today provided an update on a metallurgical testwork program for ValOre’s 100%-owned Pedra Branca Platinum Group Elements (“PGE”, “2PGE+Au”) Project (“Pedra Branca”) in northeastern Brazil.

“We are very encouraged by our first locked cycle flotation test that gave recoveries of 82.9% for platinum, 71% for palladium and 85.2% for gold on an unweathered sample from the Curiu PGE deposit, and have now started testwork on weathered Curiu material,” stated ValOre’s VP of Exploration, Colin Smith. “Once both fresh and weathered material flowsheets are established for Curiu, we will continue metallurgical testwork for our other Pedra Branca PGE deposits defined in ValOre’s 2022 resource re-estimation, which is expected this month.”

Highlights of the Metallurgical Testwork:

  • Recoveries of 82.9% for platinum (Pt), 71% for palladium (Pd) and 85.2% for gold (Au) were achieved by the first locked cycle flotation test on a fresh, unweathered 30-kilogram (“kg”) sample composited from Curiu PGE deposit drill core;
  • This locked cycle flotation test produced a concentrate grading 78.4 grams per tonne g/t 2PGE+Au;
  • Based on the information available to date, no deleterious element thresholds were exceeded, and a detailed elemental analysis on the concentrate is underway.

2022 Locked Cycled Flotation Test

One locked cycle flotation test was completed by ALS Metallurgy Kamloops (“ALS”) on a composite sample of fresh, unweathered Curiu PGE deposit dill core, following the completion of 22 rounds of recent flotation testwork to optimize flowsheet design. Recoveries of 82.9% for Pt, 71% for Pd and 85.2% for Au were achieved, resulting in a final concentrate grade of 78.4 g/t 2PGE+Au. Based on the information available to date, no deleterious element thresholds were exceeded, and a detailed elemental analysis on the concentrate is underway. Table 1 is a summary of test results from the locked cycle flotation test.

Table 1: Locked Cycle Flotation Test Results, ALS Metallurgy Kamloops

Table 1

Testwork Commenced on Weathered and Blended Material

Flotation testwork has commenced on weathered and blended (fresh + weathered) composite samples of Curiu PGE deposit drill core, applying a similar flowsheet as used in the locked cycle flotation test. Preliminary results suggest that adjustments to the flowsheet will be required, after 5 rounds of floatation testwork on the weathered sample, and 2 rounds on the blended sample. No locked cycle tests have been performed on the weathered Curiu material to date.

Vancouver, B.C. ValOre Metals Corp. (“ValOre”; TSXV: VO; OTC: KVLQF; Frankfurt: KEQ0, “the Company”) today provided an update from ValOre’s 100%-owned Pedra Branca Platinum Group Element (“PGE”, “2PGE+Au”) Project (“Pedra Branca”) in northeastern Brazil, where exploration employing the Trado® auger has identified multiple zones of near surface mineralization.

“While commonly used throughout Brazil, ValOre was the first company to use the Trado® auger for exploration at Pedra Branca. This cost-effective and highly portable tool led us to multiple subsequent drilling discoveries and played an important preliminary role in the successful resource expansion drilling in 2021,” stated ValOre’s VP of Exploration, Colin Smith. “The Trado® collects metre-by-metre samples of overburden for geochemical assay and drills into the tops of weathered bedrock, giving a real-time viewpoint into geology under cover. Given the continued success of the tool, ValOre has purchased a second auger unit to accelerate property-wide exploration.”

Trado® Auger Exploration Highlights

  • 235 auger holes totaling 818.3 metres (“m”) have tested 9 property-wide targets to date, intercepting 430.5 m of target ultramafic (“UM”) rocks under cover, with 863 samples submitted for assay;
  • Trado® end of hole (“EOH”) depths typically represent that the auger has entered impenetrable unweathered to less weathered bedrock, so it is typical that mineralization and UMs remain fully open at depth and require follow-up core or Reverse Circulation (“RC”) drilling;
  • Auger assay highlights include:
    • 16 m grading 1.22 g/t 2PGE+Au from surface (new result from Trapia South target)
    • 12 m grading 1.73 g/t 2PGE+Au from surface (led to drilling discovery at Esbarro NW target)
    • 9.0 m grading 2.09 g/t 2PGE+Au from surface (led to drilling discovery at Esbarro NW target)
    • 10 m grading 1.64 g/t 2PGE+Au from surface (led to drilling discovery at Santo Amaro South target;
  • A second Trado® auger has been purchased to be deployed in early February.

Trado® Auger Exploration at Pedra Branca

The Trado® auger has become a cornerstone exploration tool at Pedra Branca, serving to rapidly advance the district-wide target pipeline, and leading to multiple successful drill campaigns in 2021. Systematic Trado® auger fences on 40-60 m hole spacings effectively demarcate target UM intrusions hidden under cover and test the presence of near-surface mineralization with subsequent assaying. Metre-by-metre geochemical samples of soil, regolith and weathered bedrock are collected down-hole, logged, and submitted for PGE and multi-element analyses. Consequently, the benefits of Trado® are both real-time, with the geological mapping of bedrock under cover, and long-term, with the collection and analysis of a comprehensive geochemical assessment of the entire overburden profile, and in some cases into weathered bedrock. Furthermore, the Trado® auger EOH depths represent the onset of impenetrable bedrock, so mineralization and UMs remain fully open at depth, to be followed up by core or RC drilling.

ValOre has completed 235 auger holes since February 2021, totaling 818.3 m, testing 9 property-wide targets. In total, 430.5 m of target UMs rocks have been augered under cover, with 863 samples submitted for assay. See Table 1 below for a summary of Trado® auger exploration at Pedra Branca to date, and see Table 2 below for a summary of notable Trado® auger holes >2 Gram*Meter on a target-to-target basis.

Proof of Concept with Follow-Up Drilling

Seven of the 9 targets Trado®-tested to date were followed up with core and/or RC drilling in 2021, and all seven produced significant PGE intercepts. CLICK HERE to view news releases from 2021 and CLICK HERE to view news releases from 2022. The validity of the auger as an effective pre-RC or -core drilling tool was further proven by the reproducibility of PGE-in-Trado® grades in drill core or RC chips. As an example, Trado® hole AD21SAS12 from the Santo Amaro South target returned 10 m grading 1.64 g/t 2PGE+Au from surface. This result was followed up by RC drilling, which produced the discovery hole of 32 m grading 1.65 g/t 2PGE+Au from surface in drill hole RC21SAS03. • 18 m at 1.46 g/t 2PGE+Au from 51 m, incl. 9.8 m at 2.42 g/t 2PGE+Au from 58 m in drill hole DD21SAS04
    • 13 m at 1.29 g/t 2PGE+Au from 69 m in drill hole DD21SAS07;
  • Drill-confirmed PGE mineralization established along a 200 m trend that is open in all directions.

*Reported core assay interval lengths are estimated to represent 90-100% of true width

The Massapê Zone is situated four kilometres (“km”) along trend to the north of the Trapia deposit area (218,000 oz at 1.11 g/t 2PGE+Au in 6.1 Mt), and the Santo Amaro South target is situated 1 km due south of the Santo Amaro deposit area (203,000 oz at 1.19 g/t 2PGE+Au in 5.3 Mt). Both Massapê and Santo Amaro South are underexplored and highly prospective PGE-bearing zones that were not included in ValOre’s 2019 NI 43-101 Pedra Branca inferred resource (1,067,000 oz at 1.22 g/t 2PGE in 27.2 Mt). Please refer to the Summary Table of the 2019 Inferred Resource and Pedra Branca Resource Estimate NI 43-101 Technical Report, May 2019.

2021 Massapê Zone Drilling

During 2021, the Massapê target was rapidly advanced to a high priority drill target by ValOre’s sequential exploration methodology, which included detailed geological mapping, Trado® auger drilling, and trenching (CLICK HERE for news release dated August 26, 2021).

Drilling in 2021 intercepted the target UM intrusion in all 11 core holes over 450 m of geological trend. PGE-bearing Trado® auger hole samples have been collected along strike to the north and south of 2021 core drilling, establishing a prospective strike length of ~1 km to be further tested in 2022. See Table 1 for a summary of significant core assay results, and Figures 1-3 below.

2021 Santo Amaro South Zone Drilling

ValOre’s exploration methodology quickly established the Santo Amaro South Zone as a high-quality drill target in 2021 (CLICK HERE for news release dated March 23, 2021). This lead to a Reverse Circulation (“RC”) drilling discovery of 32 m at 1.65 g/t 2PGE+Au from surface in drill hole RC21SAS03 (CLICK HERE for news release dated August 23, 2021), and the drilling of 4 follow-up core holes, all of which intercepted the shallow PGE-bearing UM intrusion. PGE mineralization remains open in all directions, and is to be further tested in 2022. See Table 1 for a summary of significant core assay results, and Figure 4 below.

In May 2019, ValOre announced the acquisition of the Pedra Branca Platinum Group Elements (PGE) property, in Brazil, to bolster its existing Angilak uranium, Genesis/Hatchet uranium and Baffin gold projects in Canada.

The Pedra Branca PGE Project comprises 51 exploration licenses covering a total area of 55,984 hectares (138,339 acres) in northeastern Brazil. Comprehensive exploration programs have demonstrated the "District Scale" potential of ValOre’s Angilak Property in Nunavut Territory, Canada that hosts the Lac 50 Trend having a current Inferred Resource of 2,831,000 tonnes grading 0.69% U3O8, totaling 43.3 million pounds U3O8. For disclosure related to the inferred resource for the Lac 50 Trend uranium deposits, please CLICK HERE for ValOre's news release dated March 1, 2013.

ValOre’s team has forged strong relationships with sophisticated resource sector investors and partner Nunavut Tunngavik Inc. (NTI) on both the Angilak and Baffin Gold Properties.
